Interview with Ave Libertatemaveamor from September 22, 2022
(trans. Inna Moroz)
─ Tell me where you're from and what you do.
"I am a Ukrainian artist)".
─ How did your story as an artist begin?
"I've been drawing for as long as I can remember".
─ What do you usually draw on?
"Usually a liner on paper".
─ Is inspiration important to you, or is it redundant?
"It's difficult to think with such criteria, it's just a part of my life, like food or sleep".
─ What artists inspire you?
"Ernst Haeckel, Rene Magritte, Aubrey Beardsley, medieval engraving".
─ How did you remember February 24, 2022?
"The first explosions caught us at home in Kyiv, although things were packed in backpacks in advance, it can hardly be said that we were ready".
─ What exactly did the war change in your life?
"The reality in which we all live has changed. I don't know, the war continues, I'll probably sum up after our victory. It's only clear that you're getting older".
─ What will you do when you hear the word "Victory!"?
"I think joyfully i will smile But this is only a stage. It is one thing to fight an external enemy, and another to fight an internal one. The main thing is not to let down those who paid the highest price for victory".
─ If today you were offered to change one thing: anything, what exactly would you change?
"Probably would change the upholstery on a chair".
